25 players competed in the final round of the Louisiana Golf Association’s 2024 Louisiana Women’s Mid and Senior Amateur Championships. This morning’s tee times begin at 10:00 AM off the first tee. The course played to a par 72 at approximately 5,106 yards.
Kenner, Louisiana – The Louisiana Golf Association (LGA) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the Women’s Mid and Senior Amateur Championships hosted at the prestigious Chateau Golf and Country Club. The tournament, held from April 20th to April 21st, showcased a wealth of talent and sportsmanship among competitors from across the region.
In the Mid Amateur division, Baton Rouge native Nicole Crochet claimed her championship title after a thrilling competition that saw her battle through challenging conditions and tough competition. Crochet’s performance resulted in her earning the championship title after winning the playoff on the 3rd hole against Kay Daniel of Covington, allowing her to finish with a score of +8. Her consistent play and determination throughout the tournament earned her the well-deserved title of the 2024 Champion.
Not far behind, Kay Daniel of Covington displayed remarkable skill and resilience, securing the runner-up position with an outstanding performance. Daniel’s consistent play and strategic approach to the course earned her widespread admiration from fellow competitors and spectators alike. Daniel made a total of 2 birdies, finishing with a score of +8.
In the Senior Amateur category, Kay Daniel’s final scores were more than enough to secure her the championship title. Her finishing score of +8 put her 4 shots ahead of runner-up Julie Harrison of Baton Rouge, who recorded a total of 2 birdies, finishing with a score of +12. Jane Rosen of Metairie also demonstrated commendable skill, finishing with a score of +19.
