A first look into the 2024 Louisiana Women’s Mid and Senior Amateur Championships to be held at Chateau Golf and Country Club in Kenner, Louisiana beginning on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

25 players will compete in the Louisiana Golf Associations 2024 Louisiana Women’s Mid and Senior Amateur Championships. Saturday morning tee times will begin at 10:00 AM off the tee. The course will play to a par 72 at approximately 5,106 yards for the weekend.

The Louisiana Golf Association (LGA) is proud to announce the return of the highly anticipated Louisiana Women’s Mid and Senior Amateur Championships. Following a two-year hiatus, these esteemed championships are scheduled to grace the greens of Chateau Golf & Country Club in Kenner, Louisiana this weekend. This distinguished event will bring together the state’s finest female amateur golfers, who will play 36 holes of individual stroke play over two days, competing for top honors in both the Women’s Mid-Amateur and Senior Amateur divisions.
Nestled in the heart of Kenner, Louisiana, Chateau Golf & Country Club is renowned for its rich history and impeccable reputation in golfing circles. Its meticulously manicured fairways and challenging course layout provide the ideal backdrop for this prestigious championship.
“Chateau Golf & Country Club sets the perfect stage for this competition,” remarked Jacob Oaks, Director of Championships for the Louisiana Golf Association. “We are excited to welcome players and spectators back to this championship for what promises to be an exhilarating showcase of talent and sportsmanship.”
Competitors will be pre-flighted based on the April 1, 2024 World Handicap System revision. Players with a WHS Index of 8.0 or lower will qualify for the Championship Flight of their respective divisions, while participants aged 50 or older will automatically vie for the Senior Amateur Championship.
Past champions of the Louisiana Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship include standouts like Madison Bates (2022) and Julie Harrison (2020), while the Senior Amateur Championship has seen the likes of Kay Daniel (2022) and Julie Harrison (2020) emerge victorious.
