  LGA Volunteer Program

Each year the Louisiana Golf Association puts on eight (8) championships testing the skills of the best amateurs in the state.   The LGA continues to put on great events with the help of our clubs, but most importantly from the support of our members.  Plenty of us in this state love the game of golf and we are seeking people who might be willing to give a little bit of their time to help us support amateur golf in this region.  Whether that be a few hours or can stay for the entire event, we need the manpower to continue to provide world class competitions.  This could be an excellent opportunity for some to give back to the game, while also learning the integral parts of running a competition.  Job duties can include starting, scoring, marshal, pace of play monitor, and possibly rules official based on your knowledge of the rules of golf.  The LGA will make sure that all our volunteers are taken care of on the course.  Our events are spread out from April through September.

If you are retired or just happen to have some free time on your hands, we encourage you to become a volunteer of the LGA.  We think you will find it rewarding and an opportunity to watch some of the best golfers in the state battle it out for the title.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or have questions, please send us an e-mail to kjones@lgagolf.org or contact us at the office @ 337-265-3938.  You can also fill out our volunteer information form on this page.  Please consider taking the time to help out the Louisiana Golf Association.
