LGA TO CONDUCT RULES OF GOLF SEMINARS

November 19th, 2018 - Lafayette, Louisiana

The Louisiana Golf Association (LGA) will offer a series of educational seminars on the modernized Rules of Golf in February and March 2019.  These seminars are open to the public and will focus on the major changes to the Rules of Golf taking effect on January 1, 2019. Instruction will be provided by LGA staff, with the goal of making the Rules accessible to anyone who wishes to learn more about them or sharpen their existing knowledge. With so many changes coming into effect in 2019, these seminars will be beneficial to attendees as we transition to the new Rules. We encourage golfers of all skill levels to attend. The LGA has scheduled nine workshops across the state of Louisiana in order to provide a convenient location for you, and we would love for you to join us!

The first wave of 2019 Rules Seminars are scheduled as follows:

Saturday seminars at Oakbourne Country Club will begin at 9:00 AM and weekday seminars at all other facilities will begin at 5:30 PM. Each seminar will last approximately three hours. The registration fee is $30 for LGA Members and PGA of America Members.  The fee for non LGA Members is $40 / person. Lunch will be provided for attendees at the Saturday seminars and refreshments will be provided at the evening workshops. Every attendee will receive a new Rules of Golf book (Player’s Edition).
