May 30, 2012 — Lafayette, LA — Entry forms are now available for the 2012 LGA Senior Amateur and Senior Four-Ball Championships.  You may register online for either of these Championships via the “My LGA” portal.  Venues for the events this year are OakWing Golf Club in Alexandria (Senior Am) and Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club in Broussard (Senior Four-Ball).  The Senior Amateur will be held August 23-25, with the Senior Four-Ball following four weeks later the weekend of September 22-23.

Both of these events are on a first come-first served basis, so if you desire to participate in these events that have an entry limit, please register online or return your completed entry form as soon as possible.  A username and password are required in order to take advantage of online entry.  If you’ve misplaced either, please call our office.  We will be glad to email them to you.

Note that registration is still available for our Mid-Amateur (Squire Creek CC), Junior Amateur (Links on the Bayou), and 4-Ball (University Club) Championships.  Deadlines for entry into these Championships are as follows:

Mid-Amateur – June 26 at 5 PM
Junior Amateur – July 3 at 5 PM
Four-Ball – July 9 at 5 PM

Qualifiers for the Mid-Amateur will be held at eight sites around the state in early July with the Championship proper to be conducted, as indicated above, at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, August 3-5.  As has been the case the last number of years, those not qualifying for Championship rounds play in the 2012 Mid-Amateur Championship will receive a refund of $100 at the conclusion of the Championship.

Please be aware of our online entry process for the Mid-Amateur Championship.  If you are exempt from qualifying for this event, you will enter the Mid-Amateur Championship/Exempt Players.  If you are not exempt you will enter the Mid-Amateur Qualifier event for the site at which you wish to qualify.
