DISCOUNT SUBSCRIPTION TO GOLFWEEK MAGAZINE AVAILABLE TO LOUISIANA GOLF ASSOCIATION INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS

November 1, 2008  --  Lafayette, LA  --  The Louisiana Golf Association today announced an expansion of its partnership with Golfweek magazine.  LGA individual members that participate in the LGA Handicap Network* will be able to subscribe to Golfweek at an unbelievable discount, plus receive a free sleeve of Nike One Platinum golf balls.  

LGA Handicap Network participants can take advantage of the offer for a full year’s subscription (45 issues) to Golfweek at 86% off the cover price of $3.95/issue.  Full retail value of a year’s subscription is $79.95 but the LGA has been able to negotiate an annual rate of $24.75 (almost 70% off the annual retail subscription rate) for its Network participants.  In addition, each order will also receive a free sleeve of Nike One Platinum golf balls.

In order to take advantage of this offer, one must simply log onto the LGA’s website at www.LGAgolf.org, find the promotional box on the homepage, enter their eight-digit LGA Handicap Network number, click through, and follow the prompts to receive the discounted price and free golf balls.

In addition, the LGA is also incorporating free Golfweek subscriptions into their Gold and Silver Sponsorship program.  By becoming a LGA Gold Sponsor ($75 annually), one will receive a free one year subscription to Golfweek, in addition to a copy of the 2008-09 USGA Rules of Golf, a beautiful tumbled marble drink coaster emblazoned with the LGA logo, and a LGA logoed desk clock (total value of over $130).  LGA Silver Sponsors ($25 annually) will receive a free three month trial subscription to Golfweek, the Rules of Golf booklet, and the tumbled marble drink coaster.  These additional Golfweek subscription benefits will apply to all new Sponsors and to current Sponsors as their anniversary renewal dates occur.  To download an application, go to the www.LGAgolf.org homepage.

*The LGA Handicap Network is a service offered by the LGA to its Member Clubs.  Of 104 current LGA Member Clubs, 101 are LGA Handicap Network participants.  Priced at $16 per member annually, it includes a computer hardware system housed at each participant club, state of the art handicapping services and tournament management software, and the LGA discount card entitling participants to one free cart fee annually at each of 12 Audubon Golf Trail facilities.
