August 22, 2012 –Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana Golf Association Four-Ball Championship has been re-scheduled for the weekend of October 6-7. After two attempts to conduct the Championship at the University Club in Baton Rouge, the decision has been made to change the venue to The Bluffs CC in St. Francisville. We would like to express our most sincere thanks to the University Club; Jared LeBouef, Clayton Wood, Brandon Johnson, and their respective staffs worked very hard to complete the Championship despite the challenges presented by Mother Nature.
The LGA has re-opened registration for the Four-Ball Championship. LGA Members that missed the previous deadline now have until Tuesday, September 25 at 5:00 PM to register. Teams may enter online or download an entry form here.
Thanks go out to Lessley Boyd and Tom Agazzi at The Bluffs CC for their willingness to come to our aid on such short notice. Under Lessley’s and Tom’s leadership, The Bluffs is back to its rightful place as one of the best tracks in Louisiana. It’s in wonderful shape and early October should be optimum in terms of course conditioning. The LGA has scheduled its 2013 Mid-Amateur Championship there, and the club will also host the 2013 US Open Sectional Qualifier next May.
One more quick note. We are aware that this is the weekend of the LSU @ Florida game. No start time has been set as of yet but we’ll be sure to work with The Bluffs management to set up the clubhouse for game viewing and hopefully some meals specials as well.
