May 1, 2012 — Lafayette, LA — We are pleased to introduce The Bluffs Country Club and Resort as our ninth installment of the LGA Feature Club. The Bluffs has been a valued supporter of the Louisiana Golf Association since its inception in 1988. The Palmer golf course has hosted numerous LGA Championships, as well as the SEC Conference Championship, United States Senior Challenge, and several other prestigious events.

The Bluffs is located just north of Baton Rouge in West Feliciana parish. Arnold Palmer was granted complete freedom to route this golf course at The Bluffs through each of the diverse landscapes of the property, and eight separate routings were staked and walked before the best 18 holes were discovered. Only after the most dramatic golf holes were found was the surrounding residential community planned. The Palmer golf course was designed for championship play from the Grey tees at over 7,100 yards, but its flexible routing allows for a challenging, yet enjoyable golf experience from its variety of tees.
The Bluffs is a family-friendly, premier semi-private golf course offering top-notch amenities and service levels. In addition to an 18-hole, par 72, golf course, The Bluffs offers a practice area, golf shop, multiple meeting areas, and The 19th Hole Bar & Grill.
Buff Thompson has recently been hired at the Chef at The Bluffs. On your next visit to the club, we encourage you to visit the 19th Hole for a drink, appetizer, or meal. Located next to the Bluffs Cottage and overlooking the 18th hole of the Palmer golf course, The Chapel is surrounded by a custom built white picket fence with cross detail. It also has an outdoor bell tower. The Chapel is available for rent for weddings and other events.
