January 10, 2012 – Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana Golf Association is excited to announce the addition of a new staff member. Bryant Fortin, a native of Ellington, Connecticut, began his USGA P.J. Boatwright Internship on January 9th and will remain with us until December of 2012. Bryant graduated from East Tennessee State University in December 2010 with a degree in Sport Management. During his time as a college student, he worked at Johnson City Country Club and served two summers with the Tennessee Golf Association running their TGA Junior Tour for the Tri-Cities region. After graduation, Bryant worked with the Kentucky Golf Association for five months assisting with tournament operations for their Pepsi Junior Tour.
Bryant’s passion for the game of golf began at age 12 when began working at his hometown golf course in exchange for free golf. He has a great appreciation for golf, in that it teaches core values to juniors and that it can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
