BOB COOPER WINS LOUISIANA GOLF ASSOCIATION SENIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

August 21, 2010 -- New Orleans, LA -- Bob Cooper of Monroe captured the 2010 Louisiana Golf Association Senior Amateur Championship on Saturday, besting local golfer Darell Benoit of Belle Chasse by one shot at the TPC Louisiana in New Orleans. Cooper, tied for the lead and two shots ahead of Benoit heading into final round play, shot a one-under par 71 to finish 54 holes at four-under 212. PATRICK CHRISTOVICH WINS LOUISIANA GOLF ASSOCIATION MID-AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

August 8, 2010 -- Shreveport, LA -- Patrick Christovich of New Orleans started the day four strokes up on the field and quickly put the Championship out of reach over the first few holes, reaching the par five first hole in two for an easy two-putt birdie to stretch the lead to five over eventual runner-up Robby McWilliams of Bossier City. Birdies on the long par four seventh and the par five eighth got him to three-under on the day. A finishing par on #9 brought him to the turn at three-under 33 and an eight-shot lead over McWilliams, who shot one-over 37 on the front, and first-round leader Burt Allen of Shreveport......more>>  

ANDREW NOTO AND MATT NICHOLAS TO COMPETE IN U.S. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
