WILLOWDALE COUNTRY CLUB TAKES FOUR-SHOT VICTORY IN 2008 LOUISIANA GOLF ASSOCIATION CLUB TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

April 20, 2008 -- Patterson, Louisiana -- Starting the day with a precarious one-shot lead, Willowdale Country Club of Luling fired a two-over par score of 290 on Sunday to outlast co-runners-up University Club of Baton Rouge and OakWing Golf Club of Alexandria to win the 2008 Louisiana Golf Association Club Team Championship. Willowdale’s victory came in their first year of competition in this popular team event hosted for the 20th consecutive year by the Louisiana Golf Association. Willowdale’s two day total of 423 was nine-under par. Brian Noto was medalist on Sunday, leading the way for Willowdale with a 3-under par 69; son Andrew Noto shot an even par 72, Jarrett Walker had a one-over 73, and Duane Lorio fired a 76.
